Yuri DANILOV

Judge of the Constitutional Court

Yuri Danilov was born on 1 August 1950 in the town of Mukachevo (Ukraine).
Graduated from the Voronezh State University Faculty of Law.
Began judicial practice in late 1970s as people’s (district) judge of Povorinskiy district in Voronezh region. In 1985-1989 served as chairman of the Voronezh region court.
In 1991-1992 Yuri Danilov was a deputy Minister of Justice of the Soviet Union.
In 1992-1994 he served as deputy Chairman of State Committee of the Russian Federation for Anti-Trust Policy and Support of New Economic Structures.
Lawyer Emeritus of the Russian Federation.
A Judge of the Constitutional Court since November 1994. 
In February 2001 – July 2009 he has been the Judge-Secretary of the Constitutional Court.
